El actor estadounidense John Hillerman, coprotagonista de la serie televisiva Magnum, P.I., falleció a los 84 años de edad.
Un portavoz de la familia confirmó que Hillerman falleció en su casa de Houston por causas no reveladas.
Hillerman interpretó a Jonathan Quayle Higgins III junto a Selleck en la exitosa serie de televisión de los años 80.
El actor, quien también apareció en The Love Boat, The Betty White Show, Murder, She Wrote y One Day at a Time, recibió cuatro nominaciones al Emmy por su papel Magnum, y ganó el Mejor Actor de Reparto Destacado en una Serie Dramática en 1987. También ganó un Globo de Oro en 1982.
Su deceso viene después del anuncio de CBS de que la red está preparando un remake del programa.
